BISHOP CARROLL HIGH SCHOOL: 1
For the first time in school history, the Girls Volleyball team clinched the LHAC North Section with a 3-1 win over Bishop Carroll on Tuesday night (LHAC North 8-0, Overall 13-2). The Lady Red Devils offense was too much for Bishop Carroll to handle as they had 4 girls with double-digit kills (Liz Bopp 15 kills, Jenna Bauer 12 kills, Ashley Grimes 11 kills, and Emily Muffie 10 kills).
After a tough loss to Somerset on October 9, the ladies have put together a 3 game win streak with wins over Bishop Guilfoyle (3-1), Forest Hills (3-1), and Bishop Carroll (3-1).
Abbie Young had 33 digs, Leah Bracken had 48 assists, Emily Muffie had 4 aces, and Liz Bopp had 8 blocks.
The Lady Red Devils look to increase their winning stream to 4 with a tough match vs Hollidaysburg on Wednesday night.
